What are your hours?

Tues, Wed - 11am-2pm
Thurs, Fri, Sat - 11am-4pm for Cake Cup and sweet treats.

Cake pick-ups are scheduled by appointment made at your time of purchase.

Where are you located?

We are located at 125 Brevard Court in Charlotte, NC. (On the second floor of the Brevard Court breezeway in Uptown Charlotte / French Quarter.) There are lots of parking decks in Uptown, or you can wait in your vehicle in any loading zone located in front of The French Quarter Restaurant. Give us a call when you arrive and we'll be happy to bring your cake out to you.

Please note: We do not have ability to validate parking.


Do you offer tastings, samples, or cupcakes?

We do not offer in-person tastings.

We do have Cake Cups available for purchase during business hours. They consist of cake cuttings and icing from that week's cakes, layered into a 9-oz cup and ready to eat. Kind of like a mini cake in a cup! 

We also have other rotating treats from local vendors. After trying our cakes we’re happy to schedule a phone call or email correspondence if you have other questions regarding our cakes and your wedding before placing an order. 

Can I order a cake other than a wedding cake?

Absolutely! Every occasion deserves a beautiful centerpiece.

Our typical celebrations include but not limited to: Wedding, Birthday, Baby Shower, Anniversary, Bridal Shower, Dinner Parties, Elopement, Corporate Events, Galas, Gallery Openings, etc.

Do you accommodate food sensitivities or dietary restrictions?

Yes. We offer Gluten Free, Nut Free, and Vegan cake options. Any orders with food allergies have extra precautions taken to avoid cross contamination but we cannot guarantee zero chance of cross contamination. Please notify us by written message (in the comment box at check out or contact form) of those sensitivities to ensure they are taken into account.

Do you make GF/Vegan cakes?

Yes! We offer Vegan cakes and Gluten-Free cakes. An ingredient fee does apply to Gluten-Free cakes to cover the additional ingredients. Please note, all Gluten-Free cakes are made with Almond Flour. Take this note in the event you or guests are also sensitive to nuts. We cannot offer a Nut-Free/Gluten-Free cake.

Are you a NUT-FREE kitchen?

Our kitchen is NOT NUT-FREE. We also use oat milk and coconut milk in our cake batters / fillings. As well as produce other orders containing nut fillings or ingredients. Please be aware of this when serving our cake to your guests.

Do you replicate other cake styles?

All of our cake styles and selections are visible on our site for purchase. We do not make custom cakes or alter our designs outside of the customizing options already available. Please note, we do not copy other cake designs and do not use fondant in any capacity. 


How far ahead do I need to place my order?

For all orders, regardless of occasion , we ask that the order be placed as soon as your event/occasion is confirmed. Orders can be placed up to 2 days in advance of due date.

Do you accept a deposit for orders?

We do not accept deposits for any cake order. All orders must be paid in full at time of purchase. Unlike traditional cake shops, we do not require several months notice to order for example: tiered cakes / wedding cakes. You may pay in full at your earliest convenience to purchase and place your order.

Why don't I see an option to place an order for Next Day or Same Day?

Next Day and Same Day orders are available on a first come first serve basis. Every week we bake extra rounds to accommodate last minute orders. Please call our shop for availability. If you are calling after business hours, please leave a voicemail with the design (from our website) that you would like and a staff member will contact you the following business day. Sunday & Monday excluded.

Please note: We cannot guarantee availability for a Next Day or Same Day order.


Where to park?

For In-Store pick up: There are lots of parking decks and metered spaces in Uptown. We are located above Day & Night Cereal Bar.

For Curbside pick up (suggested option): You may wait in your vehicle in any loading zone located in front of The French Quarter Restaurant / Valhalla Pub & Eatery. Give us a call when you arrive and we'll be happy to bring your cake out to you.

Can I pick up my cake any day of the week?

Our days for pick up are Tuesday through Saturday. We only make exceptions for weddings and they are by scheduled delivery only. If your social event is on a Sunday or Monday, we will schedule your pick up for Saturday and your cake will keep safe in the fridge (decorations vary). See ‘How do I keep/store the cake’.

Do you have ready made cakes for same day pick up?

At this time, all cake orders must be placed at least 2 days in advance.

Do you deliver?

Yes. Delivery fees vary, but we do deliver to any location within 50 miles of our studio.

Do you set up when delivering?

Cake deliveries are inclusive of set up and styling of flowers and botanicals on the cake. We prefer this! Communication with your florist is required when flowers are not provided by us. You may leave any signs or props that you’d like us to incorporate to set up as well.

Do you ship cakes?

We do not ship our cakes but are available to travel for commissions. Please call our shop to inquire.

Do you rent out cake stands?

We do not have cake stands for hire. We recommend visiting Marshalls Home Goods, World Market, William Sonoma, Target, West Elm, or Sur La Table to find the perfect cake stand for your event.

Cake Sizes:

Size Small up to 2 Tier Large will sit on a cake board 10 inches in diameter.

3 Tier Cakes will sit on a cake board 12 inches in diameter.

How do I keep/store the cake?

Our cakes keep very fresh in the fridge for up to seven days (decorations may vary). If you are not serving your cake on the day of pick up, store the cake in it’s box in a fridge with no strong odors (onions, garlic, etc.) and bring to room temperature one hour before cutting. Cakes are best eaten nice and soft.

How do I transport my cake?

Non-tiered cakes will be passed to you in an enclosed box on a cake board. You can safely transport them on the passenger floor with the air-conditioning on and driving slowly around the corners. Or a passenger can hold the cake on their lap for the journey. For 3 tier wedding and celebration cakes we highly advise using our delivery services. Based on availability (fee applies).

How do I store leftovers of a cake?

You can easily pack the cake in an air tight container and freeze it to be enjoyed at a later date. Please make sure the cake is fully defrosted before eating and do not store longer than 30 days after the initial cut.
